Steve Colwell, long-time servant of Bishop Auckland RFC and Durham University, has been appointed to the position of Manager of England Students (North). This appointment is just reward for the huge number of hours Steve has given over to the coaching of student rugby and means that he can now impart his wisdom to a wider audience.
As head coach of Bishop Auckland and Durham University 3rd XV, Steve has nurtured many young players, bringing out the best of their abilities. Last year he took a young and inexperienced team to championship glory and the final of the BUSA Plate. His pedigree of working with student players is second to none.
Steve will work with the National side to prepare for the forthcoming fixtures against Ireland, France and the Combined Services and is keen to get down to work.
